Welcome to Socionet's Event Policy. This document outlines the terms and conditions governing all events organized through our platform, whether they are virtual or in-person gatherings.
By organizing or participating in events through Socionet, you agree to comply with these policies. These guidelines are designed to ensure all events are safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Physical or virtual spaces where events take place
The following policies apply to creating, registering for, and managing events:
Organizers must provide accurate, complete information about their events, including date, time, location, and any requirements for participation.
Events must adhere to the stated capacity limits for safety and quality purposes. Organizers are responsible for enforcing these limits.
For certain events, attendees may be required to verify their identity to participate. This requirement will be clearly communicated during registration.
Events must clearly indicate any age restrictions. Organizers are responsible for enforcing these restrictions through appropriate verification methods.
Socionet reserves the right to remove or cancel events that do not comply with our policies or that pose a risk to attendees.
All event participants are expected to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment:
Violations of these conduct guidelines may result in removal from events and potential suspension from future events on our platform.
We understand that plans change. Here are our policies regarding event cancellations and changes:
Organizers who need to cancel or reschedule an event must:
Attendees who need to cancel their registration must:
Cancellations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, public emergencies, etc.) will be handled case-by-case with maximum flexibility for all parties.
The safety and well-being of all participants is our top priority. Please follow these guidelines:
Organizers are required to have basic safety protocols in place and communicate them to attendees.
Understanding liability is important for both organizers and attendees. This section outlines key policies:
Organizers are responsible for ensuring their events comply with local laws and regulations, maintaining appropriate insurance coverage, and implementing reasonable safety measures.
By registering for events, attendees acknowledge they participate at their own risk and must follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by organizers.
Some events may require participants to sign specific waivers or release forms. These requirements will be clearly communicated during the registration process.
Socionet is a platform connecting organizers and attendees and is not responsible for the actions of either party. We do not endorse or guarantee the quality or safety of any event listed on our platform.
Event-specific policies may apply in addition to these general guidelines. Always review event details carefully.
Guidelines for photography, recording, and media usage at events:
Organizers must clearly communicate if photography or recording will occur at events. Attendees must be provided with options to opt-out of being photographed or recorded.
Organizers must specify how media captured at events may be used. This includes whether images will be shared on social media, used in promotional materials, or otherwise distributed.
Attendees taking their own photos or videos must respect the privacy of others and follow any event-specific guidelines about photography.
The following policies govern refunds and ticket transfers:
Organizers must establish and clearly communicate their refund policy, including timelines and conditions. Socionet recommends allowing full refunds for cancellations made at least 48 hours before the event.
If allowed by the organizer, attendees may transfer their registration to another person. All transfers must be processed through the platform to maintain accurate attendee records.
Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days, depending on the payment method and financial institutions involved.
We strive to ensure all events are accessible to as many participants as possible:
Organizers must provide clear information about venue accessibility, including wheelchair access, restroom facilities, and any potential barriers.
Organizers should provide a way for attendees to request specific accommodations and respond to these requests promptly and reasonably.
Virtual events should consider accessibility features such as closed captioning, screen reader compatibility, and alternative formats for materials.
